Project Overview
Because many construction workers habitually drink alcoholic energy drinks before or during work, leading to frequent workplace safety incidents, a client commissioned YenProtek to design and manufacture a smart alcohol and body temperature measurement device. It can be installed at the entrances of office buildings, construction sites, or any access-controlled area. At high-risk workplaces, it provides fast, real-time body temperature and breath alcohol screening for personnel before they start work. Anyone who raises a safety concern is denied entry, protecting workers' occupational safety and helping employers avoid penalties from inspections.
YenProtek provided the client with a customized operating interface and enclosure design to suit installation requirements across various types of workplaces. To meet the client's request for easier integration with existing company systems (such as access control and time attendance systems), we also provided an API protocol for greater flexibility and convenience. All measurement data is stored in the system or uploaded to the cloud for review at any time, eliminating the labor costs of the staff-assisted measurement required by conventional breathalyzers and thermometers while also reducing manual recording errors.
