Project Development Overview
The client for this development project is a manufacturer of high-tech products related to seismic protection and earthquake control for buildings. They commissioned YenProtek to help develop a smart earthquake monitoring and alert product. The primary function is to monitor earthquake intensity and issue warnings by integrating data from the Seismological Center of the Central Weather Administration with self-developed earthquake detection and monitoring hardware, creating a real-time local earthquake warning system to provide users with a complete regional seismic alert solution.
When vibrations occur, the earthquake detection and monitoring devices installed in the building comprehensively determine whether the alarm threshold has been reached by utilizing monitored data such as Z-axis (vertical) displacement, Pd, PGA, STA/LTA, etc. The seismic intensity announced by the Central Weather Administration is displayed in real time on the HMI (Human-Machine Interface), and the detection data is automatically uploaded and recorded in the RWD web-based system. Users can also remotely review information such as earthquake occurrence time, seismic intensity, three-axis acceleration, etc. These complete logs can serve as valuable references for users planning future seismic disaster mitigation strategies.
In addition to standard building installations for monitoring seismic intensity and alerts, the smart earthquake warning sensor products are perfectly suited for a wide range of applications, such as bridge vibration monitoring, elevator seismic tracking, high-speed mass transit systems, tunnel vibration sensing, gas pipeline vibration monitoring, and specialized process equipment vibration tracking in high-tech factories, etc.
