Smart Road Safety Warning System

YenProtek Technology collaborated with a well-known smart traffic data survey company to develop an intelligent mountain road safety warning device. This device was deployed on primary transportation routes in the mountainous areas of Chiayi, specifically targeting local sharp curves and narrow intersections. The system utilizes infrared or laser technology to identify vehicles and uses real-time flashing LED signals to warn oncoming vehicles and traffic conditions at intersections, reducing traffic accidents. The equipment design is powered by green energy (solar or optional wind power), eliminating the need for mains electricity, allowing it to adapt better to remote mountain terrains. It features a waterproof design, making it simple to install and cost-effective. The system can also upload data to the Cloud to assist traffic control authorities in management and maintenance.
In addition to mountain roads, this warning device is ideal for narrow curves, single-lane bridges, single-lane construction site entrances/exits, roundabouts, and other scenarios. Currently, the system has been practically deployed in multiple locations in the Chiayi mountains with positive feedback, and there are plans to expand its application in the future.

UWB Forklift Positioning and Dock Safety Warning System Development

UWB Forklift Positioning and Dock Safety Warning System

A large tech company required sensor equipment and IoT technology to accurately locate forklifts, personnel, manual pallet jacks, hydraulic pallet trucks, etc. When a forklift enters or exits a designated area, the system must issue light and sound warnings via LED warning lights to enhance work safety at the loading dock and reduce accident risks. Additionally, the client needed the system to be easy to install and quick to deploy.
The solution we provided is a UWB Vehicle Sensing System, which includes mounting UWB Tags on the forklifts and installing wireless receivers with warning lights on the walls. The LED warning lights can be configured to operate in multiple sets and can determine the distance between the forklift and the monitored area based on the UWB Tag's signal strength. When a vehicle approaches the monitored area, the system immediately emits visual and audible alerts to warn personnel. This system not only improves worker safety but also reduces personnel costs for access control.
The advantage of using the UWB sensing and positioning system is that each UWB Tag has a unique ID; the receiver can precisely track a specific ID and ignore other Tags. Moreover, the cost of UWB Tags is relatively low, and they are easy to install, use, and replace, making them highly suitable for rapid deployment.

Smart Pedestrian Speed Tracking System

YenProtek Technology responded to client needs by developing an IoT device for crosswalk simulation, enabling precise pedestrian data collection and automated speed tracking. This reduces personnel usage and avoids manual calculation and recording errors. The system utilizes wireless laser sensor technology, and the timer mode can be chosen between 'Count up' and 'Countdown'. The equipment is lightweight and highly portable with flexible power supply options, making it ideal for use in various scenarios.
In practice, simply enter the basic information of the subject. After completing the test, the system automatically generates a pedestrian gait analysis report, including data such as time spent walking (seconds), walking speed, and recommended duration (seconds), while automatically uploading the data to the Cloud for integration. This data serves as a reference for traffic analysis and planning. Users can view real-time results via a mobile application (APP). This system is not only suitable for traffic authorities to collect pedestrian data but also ideal for educational institutions as a tool for traffic safety education.

Smart Pedestrian Counting and Speed Tracking System Development

Smart Bicycle Counting System Development

Smart Bicycle Counting System

To meet client demands for automated and accurate bicycle data collection, YenProtek Technology assisted traffic data collection authorities in developing a 'Smart Bicycle Counting System.' It integrates sensor strips, a control box, wireless communication, and Cloud analysis technology to effectively identify vehicle types, filtering out interference from pedestrians and motorcycles, thereby increasing data reliability and reducing manual counting errors.
The system consists of sensor strips and a waterproof control box. It is easy to install and can collect data such as the number of bicycles, speed, and travel timestamps 24 hours a day without interruption, automatically uploading it to the Cloud via NB-IoT technology to build a complete database. This provides an essential foundation for traffic planning.
This system is suitable for bicycle lane planning, traffic signal design, parking space allocation, and bike-sharing system optimization, helping clients analyze traffic density, maintain facilities, and plan infrastructure, thereby supporting the creation of a more complete bicycle transit environment.

Smart Image-Based Speed Monitoring System

In the 'Smart Image-Based Speed Monitoring System' customized by YenProtek to meet the needs of construction authority clients, image recognition technology serves as the core of the entire system. This system is designed based on motion detection and image tracking technologies. In terms of image processing, the system's operational principle involves utilizing the corresponding relationship between captured video frames and actual distances to establish a calculation model. By locating the vehicle's movement coordinates on the time axis, the calculation is converted back to actual distances to obtain a time-distance relationship curve, which is used to calculate the vehicle's true speed.
Compared to other types of speed detection equipment, this system features lower construction and maintenance costs and can remotely collect diverse traffic data, such as traffic flow imagery, vehicle speed, vehicle types, and lane occupancy rates, without being limited by distance, weather, or manpower. The system is highly flexible and scalable, allowing the detection range and judgment rules to be adjusted according to needs, making it suitable for locations such as campuses, large institutions, and parking lots.

Smart Earthquake Monitoring HMI and Web Platform Development

Smart Seismic Monitoring and Alert System: HMI and Web-Based Platform Development

The client for this development project is a manufacturer of high-tech products related to seismic protection and earthquake control for buildings. They commissioned YenProtek to help develop a smart earthquake monitoring and alert product. The primary function is to monitor earthquake intensity and issue warnings by integrating data from the Seismological Center of the Central Weather Administration with self-developed earthquake detection and monitoring hardware, creating a real-time local earthquake warning system to provide users with a complete regional seismic alert solution.
When vibrations occur, the earthquake detection and monitoring devices installed in the building comprehensively determine whether the alarm threshold has been reached by utilizing monitored data such as Z-axis (vertical) displacement, Pd, PGA, STA/LTA, etc. The seismic intensity announced by the Central Weather Administration is displayed in real time on the HMI (Human-Machine Interface), and the detection data is automatically uploaded and recorded in the RWD web-based system. Users can also remotely review information such as earthquake occurrence time, seismic intensity, three-axis acceleration, etc. These complete logs can serve as valuable references for users planning future seismic disaster mitigation strategies.
In addition to standard building installations for monitoring seismic intensity and alerts, the smart earthquake warning sensor products are perfectly suited for a wide range of applications, such as bridge vibration monitoring, elevator seismic tracking, high-speed mass transit systems, tunnel vibration sensing, gas pipeline vibration monitoring, and specialized process equipment vibration tracking in high-tech factories, etc.
