Campus Smart Irrigation | Dongguang Elementary School Butterfly Habitat
Smart Irrigation for a School Butterfly Habitat
Plants in a campus ecological space need continuous care, and watering needs change with weather and soil conditions. At the butterfly habitat of Dongguang Elementary School in Kaohsiung, a FarmerPack and a Smart Control Box were introduced to link soil-moisture monitoring with automated irrigation, helping maintain the growing environment and easing the daily watering workload.
The FarmerPack continuously collects soil-moisture data; when the reading falls below a set threshold, the Smart Control Box opens the valve through I/O control to start irrigation, so watering follows the actual soil condition on site rather than relying only on a fixed schedule or manual judgment. Beyond automatic triggering, school staff can also start the equipment manually from the APP, flexibly handling ad-hoc watering or teaching demonstrations.
This soil-moisture automated irrigation system also gives campus ecological care observable data. Besides supporting daily maintenance, it can serve as environmental-education material that helps students understand the relationship between soil moisture, plant needs, and smart sensing.
Private Villa Garden | Soil Moisture Monitoring & Automated Irrigation
Soil Moisture Monitoring & Automated Garden Irrigation
In a villa district in northern Taiwan, the owner often travels or is away for long periods, yet wants to keep caring for the garden and check soil conditions at any time. Rain is frequent in the nearby hills, and a fixed-schedule timer alone might keep watering even right after rain when the soil is still moist, causing unnecessary irrigation and raising the risk of over-wet soil that affects root growth.
YenProtek integrated a FarmerPack and a Smart Control Box for this private villa garden, linking soil-moisture monitoring with valve control. The system continuously monitors soil moisture and opens the valve automatically when moisture drops below the set value; if the soil is still wetter than the trigger threshold after rain, irrigation is not triggered, keeping watering closer to what the garden actually needs and reducing on-site trips for the owner and maintenance staff.
The owner or maintenance staff can adjust the trigger threshold to suit plants and site conditions, and can also start or stop irrigation manually from the APP. While away, they can check the latest soil moisture and history on a phone to see moisture changes before and after rain or irrigation. For an often-away owner, this removes the burden of operating irrigation each time and provides data to confirm the soil condition of the garden as a basis for adjusting care.
Underground Parking Flood Alert System | Water-Level Monitoring & Real-Time Notification
Underground Parking Flood Monitoring & Alert System
When an underground parking area meets heavy rain, poor drainage, or pipeline anomalies, standing water can spread quickly. Especially at night or between patrols, staff may not notice it in time, increasing the risk of damage to vehicles and electromechanical equipment.
YenProtek deployed a flood alert system in the underground parking area to continuously monitor water accumulation in alert zones. When water reaches a set threshold, the system automatically sends an anomaly notification, so managers can grasp the situation even when away from the monitoring spot and arrange drainage checks, vehicle relocation, or entrance control as needed.
Through IoT monitoring and proactive notification, water anomalies in underground spaces become part of daily building management, reducing reliance on manual patrols, buying time for on-site response, and improving parking safety and property-management efficiency.
Private Wine Cellar Environmental Monitoring | Temperature-Humidity Monitoring & Automated Control
Wine Cellar Environmental Monitoring & Automated Control
Wines stored in a cellar are sensitive to temperature and humidity changes and must stay within a stable range for long periods. Relying only on manual, periodic checks and then adjusting air conditioning, dehumidification, or ventilation by hand is time-consuming and makes it hard to react the moment a reading goes out of range.
YenProtek integrated a FarmerPack and a Smart Control Box for a private wine cellar, continuously monitoring temperature and humidity and linking the data to equipment control. When temperature or humidity moves out of the set range, the system can automatically start air conditioning, dehumidification, or ventilation to adjust, reducing the need for repeated manual checks and operation.
Managers can also track the real-time environment and trends of the cellar on a phone, keeping storage conditions more stable and providing a more reliable environment for valuable wines.
